Heel pain may be the cause of having heel spurs, or tightness in the fascia (connective tissue) of the foot. Other reasons may be attributed to having diabetic neuralgia (pain associated with the death of nerve endings).
Other conditions that are associated with heel pain include plantar fasciitis, and calf strain.
Therapy will include proper stretching techniques, strengthening of certain muscle groups, proper alignment, balance and gait training.
