Back pain can be the result of poor posture, poor body mechanics, or an accident.
Low back muscle sprains and or strains can be resolved with proper rest, adequate stretches and specific exercise.
Other causes include: degenerative discs, disc bulges, osteophytes, disc herniation. These structures may also cause pain to be referred into the buttocks, thighs, travel down to the feet. The pain may be burning, shooting, tingling, or numbness.
It may be symmetrical or non symmetrical between the two sides.
With proper mechanical diagnosis, specific exercise will be prescribed including core strengthening, in addition to manual therapy to resolve the pain and return back to function.
